TCU Texas Book Award
The Friends of the TCU Library and the TCU
Press co-sponsor the 2011 TCU Texas Book Award,
a prize of $5,000 given to the author of the best book about Texas.
Fiction, nonfiction, art and photography books, and others will
be considered; juvenile and young-adult works are excluded, as
are dramatic works. Deadline for entries is December 31,
2010.
To enter: please send three copies of the book to the TCU Press,
Box 298300, Fort Worth, Texas 76129, clearly marked for the "TCU
Texas Book Award.” Please send books to arrive after September
1, 2010. Books must be postmarked by December 31, 2010 to be eligible.
Author, publisher, agent, or any interested party may make submissions.
No acknowledgement of entries will be sent, and books cannot be
returned. Each entry must include the entrant's address and phone
number. Only one book by any author will be considered. Books
must have been published between January 1, 2009 and December
31, 2010. The winner will be notified by February 15, 2011.
Works published by TCU Press are not eligible for this competition,
nor are works by TCU faculty and personnel.
The presentation of $5,000 and a certificate will be made at the
annual Friends of the TCU Library Banquet at
TCU on March 21, 2011. The author of the winning title is expected
to attend and deliver remarks.For more information:
